Cookery Workshop with Alex

Our chef Alex will be cooking a few things using the produce available in the shop, and he'll teach you how to make a meal using what's best in season.

For this workshop at the end of May, there are some lovely new things to cook: asparagus, of course, which we can eat with a classic beurre blanc, some spinach for a special gratin with mussels, to serve with a simple bit of fish, and we can make a quick carrot pickle to eat with a buttery aloo paratha: potato-stuffed flatbread.

This list is a loose idea of what we might have, but as always at Leila's Shop we will stick to what is available and best in season.

The workshop will be part-interactive and part-cookery demonstration. We'll all stand around the bench in the kitchen, and cook a meal that we can eat together when it's ready.
